Description
nano-XIM® Hydroxyapatite Powder for DIY Oral Care
Formulate your own dry oral care products with genuine nano-XIM® CarePowder from Fluidinova. This premium synthetic micro-hydroxyapatite is produced in Portugal specifically for use in tooth powders, toothpaste tablets, chewing gum and other dry oral care formulations.
Hydroxyapatite is the primary mineral found naturally in tooth enamel. Its similarity to enamel makes it a popular biomimetic ingredient in modern oral care products.
Please note: This is a raw formulation ingredient, not a finished tooth powder or toothpaste.
Why We Chose nano-XIM® CarePowder
Many hydroxyapatite powders are sourced from animal bones or eggshells. nano-XIM® CarePowder is different: it is a carefully manufactured synthetic, vegan micro-hydroxyapatite created for consistent purity and performance in oral care formulations.
- Genuine nanoXIM® CarePowder manufactured by Fluidinova
- Synthetic and vegan—never derived from bones or eggshells
- Average particle size of approximately 1.1 μm
- Designed for easy incorporation into dry oral care products
- Free from added flavors, sweeteners and fillers
- Packaged in an amber glass jar to help protect the powder during storage
- Manufactured in Portugal
Formulating with CarePowder
Fluidinova recommends incorporating nano-XIM® CarePowder at approximately 5% by weight in a finished dry oral care formulation.
Example for a 4-ounce batch: To create a 4-ounce tooth powder containing 5% hydroxyapatite, use 0.20 ounce of nano-XIM® CarePowder. The remaining 3.80 ounces will consist of the other ingredients in your formula.
Hydroxyapatite has a naturally mineral-like taste. Formulators may choose to balance it with ingredients such as xylitol. Other ingredients commonly used in homemade tooth powders include baking soda, sea salt, bentonite clay and carefully selected flavoring ingredients.
Always measure formulation ingredients by weight for accuracy and thoroughly disperse the powder throughout the finished product.
Designed for Dry Oral Care Products
nanoXIM® CarePowder is intended for dry formulations, including:
- Tooth powders
- Toothpaste tablets
- Chewing gum
- Other professionally formulated dry oral care products
CarePowder is the micro-hydroxyapatite product in Fluidinova’s nanoXIM® oral care line. It should not be confused with nanoXIM® CarePaste, the company’s separate nano-sized aqueous ingredient for wet formulations.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is nanoXIM® CarePowder?
nanoXIM® CarePowder is a synthetic micro-hydroxyapatite manufactured by Fluidinova in Portugal. It was developed for incorporation into dry oral care products such as tooth powders and toothpaste tablets.
Is this nano- or micro-hydroxyapatite?
CarePowder is classified by its manufacturer as micro-hydroxyapatite, with an average particle size of approximately 1.1 μm. Fluidinova’s nano-sized product is called CarePaste and is a different ingredient.
Is CarePowder derived from animals?
No. nanoXIM® CarePowder is synthetic and vegan. It is not derived from cattle bones, eggshells or other animal materials.
How much should I use?
The manufacturer recommends a typical use level of approximately 5% by weight in a finished formulation. For a 4-ounce batch, 5% equals 0.20 ounce of CarePowder.
Can I apply the raw powder directly to my teeth?
This product is sold as a raw ingredient for properly measured formulations, not as a finished oral care product. We recommend incorporating it into a thoughtfully formulated dry tooth powder or tablet rather than using the undiluted ingredient by itself.
How should I store it?
Keep the jar tightly closed and store it in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Always use clean, dry utensils when handling the powder.
Is this the same ingredient used in Park Bench Naturals tooth powders?
Yes. Park Bench Naturals uses nanoXIM® CarePowder in our own hydroxyapatite tooth powder formulations.
